Memorial Day

1. What is Memorial Day?

Memorial Day is a day to recognize those who sacrifice their lives in the service of the United States of America.

      2. When is it?

Memorial Day is is one the last monday of May. Which is on May 30, and became a federal holiday in 1971.

     3. What are some ways to show honor and respect on Memorial Day?

Some ways to honor are by visiting to cemeteries, decorate graves, participating in parades as well. Also have a national moment for those who served.

   6. What are a few things you will do on Memorial Day?

The things I will do in Memorial Day is watch movies of Memorial Day. Go visit a cemetery for those who served. Have a moment of silence in honor of the men and women who served.

 

  7. Reflection: It is really important to remember those who sacrifice. I haven’t put much any thought. But now I know what to do and how to appreciate those who are serving and those who did. It can be really hard for those who lost someone special and caring.

Reflection: This quote is reflecting that have correct goals to keep you succeeding. The best plan is to be on track. Being on track is being organized and everything else will fall into place. Just do the right thing. By doing the right all will come to place because you did what you were suppose to do. If you don’t have correct goals than that’s not doing the right thing. That’s doing the wrong and that’s not right. To have correct goals it has to either help you or someone else in a good way. By mowing a lawn for fee, no cost just from the heart. Also you need to have a straight mind on what you have to achieve. Or else nothing will occur if you don’t put it in mind.

Wellness Specialist

Duties and Responsibilities: Dependent on their employee, manage health and wellness programs. To evaluate the needs of their target audience and tailor programs to speak directly.

Salary: $48,790

Education: At least a bachelor’s degree. Government agencies tend to require master’s degree or doctorates degree in health-related field. Many employees look for degrees in health education, community health or public health.

Demand of profession: 21% 2012-2022

Reflection: I don’t think this career is for me. I feel that it wouldn’t interest me in health. I’m more of teaching person. I also feel that this career path doesn’t go in my plan.

Reflection: The quote is reflecting that the important thing is to have good values. To have good values you need to do the right thing. People don’t do the wrong and get good values. Good values need to be earned. Good values is like having good manners. Good values can be appreciated and help other people besides yourself. An example can be your good values helped out your friend. You helped her my giving her advice before she chose the wrong. People change people for the better. Good values can help you and other people to the better life.

Veterinarian

Duties and Responsibilities: Administer vaccines do to health check-up’s,cleaning teeth, fix bones, treat skin infections and perform surgeries. Inspecting living spaces of animals on farms or ranches to free possible infections. Give lethal injections to animals when they are old or terminally ill.

Education: Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (D.V.M) a bachelor's degree is usually required admission to vet medicine program. Undergraduates degree, prefer classes in science, biology.

Reflection: I think I would like to be one. I love animals and I would like to work with them. It is really easy and fun. I would like to work on that. I have pets and i am really fond of them. I can do good with all animals.

Reflection: This quote is reflecting that do a good deed and you’ll be rewarded gratefully. Doing the right thing can be the best reward. And if you get recognize by someone then that's the reward. For example you do good by returning a phone that wasn't yours. The person feels really appreciated and gives you a reward of $50 dollars. Another example can be that instead of the person appreciated doesn’t give you a reward that is fine too. Not every time you are going to be rewarded. The best reward counts is that you did the right thing. So be the goodest and truthful person that you can be. Because great thing can bring good rewards.

Sport Medicine

Duties and Responsibilities: sport medicine helps athletes to maximize their performance, preventing injuries and lead a healthy lifestyle. Suggest of diets, exercise regimens.

Education: undergraduates must complete 4 years of medical school. Primary care sports complete 3-year residency in a family medicine after graduation from medical school.

Demand of profession: 18% from 2012-2022

Reflection: I really like sports. I don’t really see myself in sport medicine because I can’t keep up. I think it will be to difficult.

Reflection: The following tips will help you to success. It will help you to success because they are true and right. Not everything in life is going to be easy, so that's why you need to work hard. Follow the things you like, not what others think you should be interested. Money isn’t always the key. The key can be doing something you really like. It isn’t always about the money. Money can buy you happiness. Doing right is to treat right to others. Respect to be respected the golden rule. To be loyal to others is just being loyal to yourself. If the others don’t respect you back, be the better person and just respect.

Reflection: This quote is reflecting that the best decision you can make just by doing the right thing. Doing the right thing can bring positivity, and recognition. You get to have a good feeling that you did the right thing. Doing the right thing can be easy and hard. It can be easy because you know it’s right. It can be hard because you either get to call out in someone that is your friend. An example can be that your friend decided to sneak out  to a party  and you knew about it. And you are stuck either telling their parents where she is or she fell asleep. To do the right thing you need to say the truth. It might be the best way because she could’ve gone drunk and driving at the same time. You just helped her like a friend should have. I agree with this quote because I know it’s true. It’s true because we all have to make the best decision to either help someone else or yourself.

Paleontologist

Duties and Responsibilities: Paleontologist are scientist who study fossils, and ancient remain ancestors. To provide earth history, climate changes,catastrophic events, evolution, and geological composition. Spend time on museum or lab to dig sites, and locating where the fossils come from.

Salary: $50,000-$80,000

Education:  A geology major with a master’s or doctorate in paleontology is the best qualification for these jobs. Paleontologist should also have extensive knowledge in biology and geology. Chemistry, physics, calculus, statistics and computer science. Undergraduates mineralogy, stratigraphy, sedimentary petrology, etc.

Demand of profession: 2012-2022 growth of 25%

 

Reflection: I would like to be a paleontologist. I would like to be one because it's really fun and interesting. I know I will do good. If not I would look for another career on soil science or ocean geography.

Reflection: This quote is trying to reflect that you can't gain nothing with doing wrong. It’s impossible you don’t deserve by doing wrong. I believe this quote is true. I believe it’s true because I know it’s true. Your conscience gets to you. It doesn't leave you alone. Until you admit that you are wrong. It doesn't let you escaped until you say the true. An example can be that you blamed your sibling of making the mess and your parents ground them. And they reward you by letting you go buy pizza. Your conscience comes and makes you feel guilt. And the best thing to do is to admit that it was you and your sibling didn’t have to deal with anything it was all you.

Captain America: Civil War

Captain America Civil War came out on May 6, 2016. In my opinion I can’t wait for the continuation of Avengers Infinity Wars. I highly recommend this movie.This movie is based on how the avengers split for different perspectives on the situation. And it leads to Captain America and Iron-Man. They both disagree because one thinks the other is  wrong and the other one thinks their right. All Steve wants is to keep his friend Bucky aka Winter Soldier safe because he is innocent of the situation that is being pinned on him.That shows that they need new recruitment's  which calls in for Ant-Man, Spider-Man and Black Panther. During the war people start to get hurt. In the end it all comes to an end. Even Though they were against each other they are all still friends. I’m really happy that the ending was a continuation of a reunion. In all Captain America won and took his new team to a new home. Steve left a message if he needed  the team or him he can call anytime.

Reflection: This quote is trying to reflect that a great moment is made when someone does the right thing. It makes a great moment because it shows your true character. I believe this quote is true. I believe this quote because I had a great moment in my life. An example of a great moment can be when someone decides to donate money to a charity instead of spending in on clothes, because you have enough were in some places they don’t have it at all. Everyone has a great moment, and some don’t. Doing the right thing is always the best answer. It doesn't always have to be by giving away money. It can be remembering someone's birthday or saying a thank you. Little things matter as well.

Speech Pathologist

Duties and Responsibilities: Help individuals with a range of disorders related to speech, language, and swallowing. Diagnose and treat individuals who suffer from stutter, also help those whose speech is affected by emotional issues. To accomplish tasks they need to run some tests first, so they can know what they are dealing with.

Education: Master’s degree in speech-language pathology. Include courses of articulation, perception and production of speech, speech system anatomy and physiology, and research of methodology. Need to evaluate and gain understanding of the physical, neurological, physiological, and cognitive factors involved.

Reflection: I would like to be a speech pathologist. A speech pathologist looks really interesting and fun. Working with people looks really interesting. I would like to work with little kids. I would like to gain new experiences and a new career.

Reflection: Karl’s quote is trying to reflect if you gave your word you should honor it. By honoring your word you should keep it. It doesn't matter if you gave your word for something huge or small, you should still honor it. An example can be that you gave your word of honor to your friend that you will study for your test. Your friend is counting on you to be there. Then you decide to make some other plan. Your friend won’t trust you no more. They can’t count on you to be there when you said you would. In another case, you came and studied with your friend, then your friend would be glad that you gave them your word. I believe in Karl G. Maeser’s quote. I believe in this quote because I think it's true.

Medical Scientist

Duties and Responsibilities: To discover new methods of enhancing human health. The result of the procedure and research come up new treatment and medication. Also research on specimens, like bacteria, and viruses.

Salary: $90,230

Education: Attend to a medical school, earn a doctoral or medical degree. To be dealing with patients you need to be licensed as well.

Demand of profession: 13% of job growth within 2012-2022

Reflection: I think I would like to be a medical scientist. A medical scientist looks fun and interesting. And the amount of salary it can be a really good job.
