Speech Pathologist

Duties and Responsibilities: Help individuals with a range of disorders related to speech, language, and swallowing. Diagnose and treat individuals who suffer from stutter, also help those whose speech is affected by emotional issues. To accomplish tasks they need to run some tests first, so they can know what they are dealing with.

Salary: $70,810

Education: Master’s degree in speech-language pathology. Include courses of articulation, perception and production of speech, speech system anatomy and physiology, and research of methodology. Need to evaluate and gain understanding of the physical, neurological, physiological, and cognitive factors involved.

Demand of profession: 19% from 2012-2022


Reflection: I would like to be a speech pathologist. A speech pathologist looks really interesting and fun. Working with people looks really interesting. I would like to work with little kids. I would like to gain new experiences and a new career.
